100 Days of Makers

In 2015 I was transitioning from a tech career in the Bay Area to full time photography, so I spent a few months doing a personal project where I tried to photograph one local creative per day for 100 consecutive days. Through photographing creatives and getting to know them, I also learned what it’s like to be a freelancer pursuing your passion. I didn’t quite get to one hundred! It was so time-consuming: between driving to the shoot location and back, doing the shoot and the interview, editing the photos and transcribing the interview, each shoot was an intense full-day commitment. Here are some of the portraits.
