Hotel Offsite Portraits, Why Not?

Before Covid, a lot of my lifestyle work consisted of “company culture” photos for tech companies, showcasing their beautiful offices with amazing perks and amenities and how joyful it was for people to work together from said offices. Fast forward to a post-Covid hybrid or remote work model, a lot of companies are now organizing team off-sites for their employees to actually meet each other in real life. As an “offsite” photographer, I’ve been asked to do environmental portraits of team members. Most offsites take places in hotels, which don’t always provide the most exciting backdrops for photography. But I love me a challenge! Evidation Health, a data platform that gathers health data from wearables for medical research purposes, hired me to take portraits of their team members at a hotel offsite. All the photos below were taken on the premises of a hotel, hotel balconies, conference rooms and courtyard. I’m really pleased with how they turned out, proof that you can work with location constraints and still make beautiful portraits.
